This is a great place to walk your dog or stroll with friends and family. The dyke winds along the Fraser river with wonderful views of the mountains, eagle nests, local fisherman and of ourselves all the local boat traffic. Great outing for the family.

It is a lovely walk along the river. The paths are clear and the deck area gives a beautiful view of the river. It is dog friendly however some owners let them run free. I have been with my stroller, my toddler and my child. There are picnic tables off the parking lot bu inside along the trails there are... More

Just off the Lougheed, this quiet walk is very close to town, but far enough to be peaceful. The walk takes you along Kanaka to the Fraser. It is a bit short for my liking, but lots of places to stop and enjoy nature. Wheelchair and walker accessible.

With a morning to kill in Maple Ridge while visiting friends, we walked down to this lovely trail. It was a lovely warm fall day and the walk along the trails was so nice. There are spots to overlook the river and many benches to stop and just watch the river flow past. the biggest problem was that the maps... More

We were looking for a nice drive, and a scenic walk away from our Coquitlam area. This lovely short walk along the Fraser riverfront was just what we were looking for. Lots of trails - all leading back to where we parked our car. We were not familiar with the area, and found some brief accounts of the history of... More

really enjoy this trail for walking with the family. Metro vancouver does a great job maintaining it.

This is one of my favourite 'flat' walks, nice change from the dykes. It's 45 min from ,and back to, my car at a brisk walk. From the parking lot you'll go around a lagoon with a 3 level viewing platform, on your way to the river where there are 2 different walks , riverfront and nature trail . To... More

The trail begins at a parking lot with washroom facilities. The trail itself is well maintained and takes you through Cottonwood forest down to the Fraser River. The walk is pleasant with raised viewing areas and natural vistas to appreciate. Because of the proximity to water the population of mosquitos can be annoying. I always spray my exposed flesh with...
