We took a few sailing trips during our month in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. They were all short (1-2 hrs.), overcrowded and overpriced, but this one was the best of the lot. Nice, friendly, knowledgeable crew, a longer trip than the others at a little over 2 hours, and magnificent scenery. We paid $74 CAD for two adults. Unlike... More

We only had one day/night in Lunenberg and thought this would be a great way to see the area. It was perfect. I believe it was a two hour tour starting at 11 am in September. I did not dress appropriately ... you definitely need to dress as if the temperature were 20 degrees cooler. Luckily they had blankets onboard... More

Great experience watching Capt. Keith Merrill and his crew sail the Eastern Star, a 48 ft. sailing ketch to the pine studded cliffs and caves outside the Lunenburg Breakwater and Lighthouse and learn some of the finer points of setting the sails and tacking in the leeward wind by reading tell tails. If you want to help out and learn... More

Went on a two hour sailing adventure where our captain explained the history of the surrounding area and gave us an adventure we'll all remember not to mention a crash course in sailing! Thanks again!

Took the family on this 2 hour sailing experience. We booked the 1pm sail 2 weeks in advance, and our tour was fully booked (16 on board) on the day of. To check in, head down to the water where the Bluenose II is moored. The charter leaves from the other side of the dock, directly across. Be sure to... More

Not much wind so we did more motor-boating than sailing but we had an amazing trip. Beautiful views and comfortable seating. The Amoeba sailing trip in Baddeck NS, has this beat hands down. Sorry I had to toss that in there.

We found Star Charters by default. Originally, we wanted to go for another Deep Sea Charter but we weren't sure whether 4 hours would be too long of a trip to be out at sea with our kids. Boy were we lucky to find Star Charters. Star Charters actually offers a Sail Tour but they also run a smaller boat... More
