We were brought here by our bus tour. The area is quite beautiful and it is so facinating to stand there and watch the salmon trying to get upstream using the ladder. Sometimes, you feel sorry for them as they try so hard and end...More

Thanks David for your review. The unique blend of surroundings and education about the mighty Atlantic Salmon continue to attract visitors from all over who share your impressions. We reopen for regular summer season operations in June 2018. Randy Edison

This was another of our unexpected stops and we found it informative and interesting. I had no idea that the fishery in the Atlantic provinces extended to freshwater fish as well! I suppose it only makes sense but Newfoundland and Labrador has quite an extensive...More

Highlights from this visit were watching the salmon jump and manipulate the ladder and listening to a very well informed, passionate guide tell us about what has been happening to the Atlantic salmon population. If it's time for a snack, there is a small restaurant...More

This is off the main road, but we saw the signs and decided to go. It was worth the short drive. The exhibits were interesting and the views nice. It was about lunchtime when we went so we ate at the little restaurant. The food...More

I could have stood and watched the salmon jumping at the top and starting off on the ladder, all day. Interesting to talk to the guide who is very informative about the fish and their journey as well as what the centre does. It's also...More

Interesting to see how the salmon make their way up stream. There is a man made ladder to help the salmon over the high points. You can view the salmon close up through a window which is below the water level. Great information center and...More

We stopped here on our way to Gander from Plum Point, a long day on the bus. We spent some time at the well appointed gift shop and at the on site restaurant, ice cream for most of us. We went down to the interpretation...More

Hi, I am not sure if the interpretation centre will be open. If not you would still have access to the trails that would allow you to see the falls.
