Good place to camp

I live in Alliston so Earl Rowe is a place I visit regularly. I've always liked the park. I take my dog there for walks...as well as family and friends ( family and friends are not on leashes). I would probably never camp there. However, if your from the city it might feel far enough out to think your going... More

Earl Rowe is one of the largest Ontario Provincial Parks and it is a wonderful getaway spot. Lots of paved roads for biking, many campground lots for tenters and RVs, new washrooms with showers, a park store, pool, food wagon in summer, and more. Hiking, biking, a trail to a high lookout, lots of birds and other wildlife. Nature trails,... More

I must start with the positives of this park. Great campsites! This park has so much to offer but is not maintained well. The water fill up was in a very awkward area and not cleared. Washrooms near to us where full of bugs, spiders and overall not cleaned well. However we did notice the washrooms at the main gate... More

I'm a fan of camping, but I don't usually camp this far south in Ontario. So it was a little strange to be camping in park surrounded by farm fields. Other then that this was a pleasant camping experience. I'd recommend staying in the Riverside Campgrounds, and in the Rabbit Loop and Blue Heron area. This section is close to... More

We camped as two families on two sites. 618 was tucked in nice, fairly deep, no site across from you so private unless a car is driving by, a short walk to the water tap but a bit far from the bathroom/shower if you have small kids - we ended up driving to it often as kids have to go... More

Came back from Earl Rowe today, all I wanna say is the water stinks! It is a man made lake. Dead water! Other than that, the round swimming pool ($3.5 for adults and $2.5 for kids above 5) was really nice especially for small kids, the centre is the deepest and it goes shallower and shallower as the circle goes... This park is great for first time campers or people with kids of all ages that like to have different activities to do or like staying close to amenities. It is about a 3 min drive to plazas with stores/restaurants in case you need supplies or food. We had to make a few trips out for Tim Hortons coffee. We... More

Huge camping sites. We had two sites and there was ample room for everything. Sites are large enough we could of fit both 27 foot trailers on one site with two trucks and still had tons of room.Quietest campground I have been to. Lots of trails to walk.

A amazing local facility that lets you fell like you way up north in Algonquin parks but just min to Allison Ontario. The small lakes are great for slow paddles in kayak or canoes. lots of walking areas and lots of wild life around. Just watch out for the local racoon families, there cute but very sneaky to get at... More

Recently I travelled to this provincial park. We had called ahead to find out if we could bring a boat an electric motor. When we arrived the ranger at the front gate informed us we would be fine. We had two small children with us who were excited about the idea of fishing in the boat. The public beach was... More
