We found an entrance to Coed Y Foel (with a small car park) thanks to local advice last summer ... and have been visiting regularly since discovery. There are not a lot of other visitors, and those we meet are friendly. Good mobility is essential....More

Ideal place to take the dog for a walk, but take willies other that mid summer in a dry spell. Nice flat walk out, but quite steep if you do the circular walk. No problem in coming back the same way.

Small free parking area. Nice walk through the wood, a steady climb which was a little tricky in places due to wet mud. Adventurous dogs can climb away from the main track so it is best to be careful if yours is inclined not to...More

Great place to spend some quiet time. Some beautiful trees and great for dogs but that also means dog poo

Fantastic autumn colors! Due to the rain it was very muddy and slippery in places - ideal for us with the dogs, wellies and waterproofs! Dogs loved it and we did too!

Our observations are that a lot of dog owners DO pick up poo, but they then abandon the little plastic bags along the route and this preserves the contents indefinitely. We have trained our dogs to do their business well... More
