The Mt. Rainier Gondola takes you to the top of Crystal Mountain where you'll find the best view of Mt. Rainier and the Summit House Restaurant. It's an experience unlike any other. On a clear day you can see 5 Northwest volcanoes. Each gondola seats up to 8 people and is a 12 minute ride each way. Open for sightseeing during the winter (Nov-April) and summer (June-Sept.). Schedule varies.

We loved the view like most gondolas. When you get to the top it is very nice, you can see Mt. Rainier right there, has a restaurant and a shop and a place with chairs to enjoy the view! We loved it, but pricey!

The Gondola Ride a wonderful view, either up or down. But boy howdy, you have to jump on! I did not know that, we hustled in there. Not much time to figure out how to get the best seat. Its just IN!

This was our first opportunity to see Mt. Rainier up close and personal. The gondola ride allows one to see the mountain in all its glory. My wife was a little skittish about taking the ride up the mountain. But it was smooth and fast....More

We enjoyed only one evening at the place. Yes, it's a bit dated but still worth the stay if you want to visit a ski lodge. We booked late before visiting Mount Rainier so we felt very lucky to get a place close to the...More

Yes, you can hike up and then ride the gondola down. You can purchase tickets in the gift shop located under the restaurant.
