The jampot is a hidden gem in the upper peninsula! On our way up to Copper Harbor, we stopped by to check out the Jampot. The monks make excellent jam and bakery goods! If you go, should should make sure to go across the road to see the Monastery ... Hummingbirds were everywhere visiting the wide variety of flowers and... More

I've been visiting the Jampot since I was about 4 years old on my first trip to the Upper Peninsula. I enjoyed frequent visits during my time as a student at Michigan Tech and still stop in whenever I'm in the UP. There's not a single item in the store that has ever disappointed. The jams are just like homemade,... More

I've been hearing about The Jampot from those in the know for years, and I finally was able to stop there.I had heard that monks worked there but when we pulled up and one walked out of the woods behind it, I was caught off guard a little bit, as I had never seen a monk with the exception of... The Jampot crafts some of the best Jams, Jellies and preserves you will ever taste. While the Wild Thimbleberry is reportedly the most prized (with a price to match), my favorite is the Wild Strawberry. It's really impossible to pick a bad preserve and they have a ridiculous amount to choose from, including basics like Blackberry and Raspberry to the... More

This is a nice hidden gem. The jam is great and the cakes are wonderful. You can't help but taste the cookie before you get back to your car!

Well, Eagle River, Michigan is somewhere, but one is a bit surprised to find, on a cold, gray day near Lake Superior, and far on the other side of tourist season, a lineup waiting for homemade jams, fruitcakes, and a variety of other baked goods of the very highest quality. Surprised, that is, until one finds the bakery is run... More

We stopped to this quaint bakery and surprised by crowd which only says one thing!!! The baked goods were out of this world. The cr cheese pound cake muffins were mouthwatering and the jumbo banana cranberry muffins were the best. The spices used were so delicious. They were a little pricey but well worth it!! The wild thimbleberry jam was... More

Okay - who knew monks would make the best fruitcake ever?! Had I known, I would have bought more than one flavor. The sourdough version, wrapped in a rum soaked cheesecloth was 2 thumbs up - had I more thumbs, I would add them! Best ever! Way to go, brothers! And when you do stop to get a cake, cookie,... More

Everything is made by the Monks. Most of the ingredients used are actually grown by them. Great jellies, breads and sweet treats. A must see stop.

My brother and I stopped to nose around as we were told how wonderful it was.. The store is not much bigger then the phone booth Superman changed his clothes in, and there were 8 people standing patiently in a straight line much the same as the Seinfeld episode with the Soup Nazi !! The prices were ridiculous ( $50... More
