I think this is the museum that I went through...about "The Great Fire of 1922" in Haileybury and area. Very informative! Interesting to see the beginnings of this town.

We were a group of relatives on a history search for some family info. We stopped in for a look, and it turned into a 3 hour visit. The display from the original Haileybury town at the time of the 1922 fire, was particular interest...as we determined that there were some conflicts with the history as we knew it. We... More

We went to the museum and were treated with our own personal guide. The displays were wonderful and we will have to go again as there is just so much to learn.

Some highlights include a streetcar, a mini model of Haileybury, an old firetruck, a wind up music box (really cool!), jail and the original trapdoor they use to hang people. The area behind the... It only takes a couple of moments to go back in time and see what used to be. I was impressed with the Heritage Museum and the items they have been provided with. We have an area so rich in history. It was surprising the people I knew in the photographs. It is worth the time to take a moment... More

This is a small community museum in a small town so no one should expect first class exhibitions. That being said, this place is a little treasure trove of artifacts on the history of Haileybury - its history, its founder, the Great Fire that ravaged the town in 1922 and other historical facts. There is a great restored tramway that... More

Fire Documentation and pictorial and artifact presentation are great. Also a display on Leslie McFarlane, ghost writer of The Hardy Boys series and a few Nancy Drew books. Tours available most times
