Ambelside park offers a variety of different activities for people of all ages. There is a seaside walk that offers beautiful views. The park also has a children's section and area to have picnics. And if you're feeling a little hungry there are some wonderful dining choices. Try the Beachhouse, the truffle house, or the bake house. I just realized... More

When I need a break from whatever I should be doing, this is where I head. Whether it's watching the birds on the pond or out on the jetty watching the ships come and go under the Lions Gate Bridge, it's great. Large off-leash area for dog people as well.

My boyfriend and I went here for a romantic view of the ocean under the moonlight. Nobody was there, so it was very quiet and private. Wow.... It's so nice there! I love the park benches with ocean views and big rocks that you can sit on. There's plenty of grassy areas to lay around on, plus picnic tables, etc.... More

I spent an afternoon walking along the path along the bay. This was a Sunday and a bit of sunshine so it broght out the locals and their dogs. It was just a nice place to be on a cool crisp afternoon.

Nice peaceful walk paved walkway by the water. Many many people walk their dogs along here. Enjoyable walk but it is crowded. Flat trail right along the water and well maintained

We did a nice bike ride along the park but discovered that we took a wrong path and were in the off leash area where bikes are not allowed. The signs were confusing if you do not know the area and the icons painted on the paths need re-painting. So look carefully! But a nice park, views of the Lions... More

Nice park to walk around in the morning. Good playgrounds and a pretty large off leash dog area as well.

I've lived in Vancouver for over 30 years and this is my favourite park. Calming view of the water, Stanley Park and Spanish Banks. You can walk from Park Royal to Dundarave. Beautiful.
