Stunning Biews

A nice easy walk/hike with great views. Whether you are on the north shore or if you are looking for a destination spot for a day in the outdoors, this is a great choice.

Talk about an experience! Hiking up Hollyburn Mountain is a fairly steep climb in some instances but my gosh is the view worth it. You get to a panoramic view of Vancouver. When the fog lifts, you can even see Vancouver Island. This is free, a great work out, and something that you should really attempt to do. Recommendations for... More

Come Oct, a great place to walk, have a picnic lunch at the lake , see the trees and shrubs turning color. Many a great moment, rain or shine, climbing Hollyburn is easy and just fine.

One of the best moderate hikes in Vancouver. It takes about 2 hours to hike to Hollyburn Peak but there are some shorter hikes in the park that don't take as long. There area is best on sunny days between July and September. It can be pretty muddy after rain. The trail to the top of the mountain starts in... More

Three of us hiked to the top of Hollyburn Mt. yesterday. The elevation gain is a gentle 425m (the high point is 1325m). It was a perfect day for a hike--not too hot, not too cold. We saw only a handful of other people. The trail is very well maintained. We saw two bears on the way, grazing in blueberry... More

While much easier than Grouse or some of the other hikes in the area Hollyburn still affords amazing views from the summit. We did it in a leisurely 1 1/2 hours each way and only saw one other hiker so its private too. Just spectacular views and the trail is marked extremely well.

Unbelievable that this wilderness hike is close to a Metro City and allows you to enjoy true nature. From the parking lot, the hike steadily climb up the hill. There are several lakes you pass and you need some condition to climb over some roots ans stones for at least 3 km. Not recommended if you have no good physical... More

Hollyburn has some of the best views of Vancouver from the North Shore mountains. This is the place to go if you like hiking but don't want to join the crowds on the Grouse Grind. Usually free of snow by July. It takes around three hours round-trip to hike to the peak. You need a car to drive up to... More

This is an old favorite for locals and now that the road has been made into a highway for access to Cyprus Bowl it is even a good drive destination. Cross country ski, snow shoe, toboggan or hike in the summer for good old family fun. Good views of the city and harbour on the drive up.
