Best location deep in Barkley Sound to avoid rough weather

Due to the fencing that closed the adjacent campground, the boat ramp is a little hard to use. The floats are getting a little worn but still work well.

It's 16km of rough forest service road from the highway. Once you get there you're a short hop to the Broken Islands. There's a lovely campsite ("Secret Beach") 2km back. It's an awesome beautiful area. The immediate area around the marina is closed to camping, fishing, and shellfish gathering because some mining operation dumped contaminated tailings into the water.

The campground has moved and this is now only a boat launch and water taxi pickup for kayakers to the Broken Group. Parking is $10/day. Free to board and return on water taxi. Caretaker lives on site.

Similar to most Marinas; with the exception of the unique area beauty.... nearby islands; eagles flying..

A great place to start a Briken Island trip. No potable water. No showers.
