We took a taxi from Tongren, which costed 400 Yuan for the whole day. The taxi driver was really nice. He took us to the entry but was not allowed to get in the park. We had to take a tourist bus which took us to different spots. We even took a boat at some point. At first we were... More

The bad news: it costs ¥240 per person now. The good news: it's worth it. And it's doable for a solo traveler: you can get the bus from Xining's main coach bus station (next to the train station) a few times a day (10:30am, noon, 1:30pm at least, on the day I went). Once you're in the park, the buses... More

The scenery in the national park is very beautiful - reservoir/lake, canyons and rock formations, mountains. It is not so easy to visit as a foreigner if you don't speak Mandarin, but we would still highly recommend it as the scenery is amazing - it is worth the effort. There are five or six viewpoints/viewing platforms in the park, with... More

This is a great place to do a day trip from Xining. where you can do a couple of hrs nice hiking through a quite forests. At the heart of the park, there is one of the oldest Tibetan Buddhist nunneries of Amdo Tibet. there is entry fee.135RMB per person, that includes all the transpiration inside the part.

We spent a day driving through Kanbula National Park and loved it. We were staying in Guide and hired a taxi driver to take us there for the day. It was quite easy to find someone to take us, and the cost for the whole day was only 300 RMB, plus the entry fee to the park (I think 65... More

I've just written a review of the above mentioned place. This is exactly the same place, but named differently. So the number 2 in Jianzha county is also the number 1. It's a wonderful area. Please read my review under the other name. Of course, it will not be easy to get to. With public transportation, I suppose you won't... More

I would like to start by mentioning that the number 2 attraction in Jianzha County, Kanbula forest park, is exactly the same as this one. Neither of these has a review in English, which confirms my impression that it is a very difficult place to get to as a non-Chinese independent traveler. I am lucky that I have to travel... More
