It's great to hear that you enjoyed your visit to the Manifold Tea Room. When you buy oat cakes or a drink, the money you spend helps us to continue looking after the Peak District, so thank you for your support. More

I never tire of this absolute gem, which is so well managed by the National Trust. This one location is worth the annual fee for membership. Car parking is adequate, there is an excellent café on site. The scenery as you approach from any direction is breathtaking. The Church of the Holy Cross is a holy place ideal for quiet... More

We're delighted to read that you love Ilam Park as much as we do. As you say, the scenery is lovely all year round, but we agree that the autumnal colours are particularly impressive. Your membership and visits to our shop and tea-room help us to continue looking after this special place, so thank you for your support. We look... More

We went to Islam Park for their Christmas Children's event. The children were having a wonderful time roasting marshmallows, trying archery, making ornaments, writing letters to Santa and many other activities. There was food available outside and there is a nice tearoom. We had a dog in tow so we didn't eat in the tearoom. It we had excellent food... More

We recently visited Ilam Park as a family with our medium sized dog. Whilst the views are lovely, and the area is good for walking, the café area is not dog friendly! We asked if we could bring in our dog, to have lunch and were told we could only sit outside. On a cold November day, it wasn't a... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we’re pleased that you enjoyed the views, but regret to hear that you felt unwelcome because you had a dog. Dogs are part of the family for many people and we want to encourage visitors to explore the White Peak with their four legged friends. We provide bowls of fresh... More

Excellent food and service. Extensive menu, welcome for walkers. The gardens are worth a visit but of course the highlight is the river reappearing.

Having the NT membership, it's free. Very nice day walking around Ilam park and the surrounding areas. There are a coffee and toilet facilities. Careful with walking following the map, we got out of the track without even noticing, but we got there eventually. take at least 2-3 hours but more is recommended.

Beautiful Autumn colour every where when I visited this very interesting landscaped park with eerie mist rolling in. Very gothic building. The whole place would make a great film setting. Great history - handed in perpetuity for use for youth.

We agree that it's an atmospheric time of year to visit Ilam Park. The leaves seem so vibrant and crunchy this year, making it all the more fun. We hope that you'll visit again to see how the Park changes with the seasons, but of course, remains beautiful. More

We had a short but lovely visit as part of a 5.5 mile circular walk from Dovedale. It is a lovely estate with spectacular views of the valley and hills. The gardens are small but the views make them more impressive than they are. Definitely worth a quick visit if in the area.

The wonderful thing about Ilam Park is that whether you stay for half an hour or a full day, there is plenty to leave an impression. We're glad that you enjoyed the gardens and of course, those views. We hope that you'll visit again soon - perhaps to enjoy a longer walk to Dovedale, Wetton, the manifold or beyond. More

What a gorgeous place with glorious views. The house itself is a youth hostel, but the park is so worth a visit & the village is so pretty too. The cafe is nice, but does get very busy, & the portions are not overly generous, that said it was still very nice.

What a beautiful day for a walk through these lovely grounds and a very friendly lady was on hand to tell us about the area. However I think it's worth noting that there did seem to be some poor management going on in the Manifold tea rooms. Bearing in mind that lunches are served 12-3, when we arrived at 12.45... More
