Just did a 3 day self guided trip up Desolation Sound and have to say Adam and the folks at Powell River Kayaks were excellent! Being experienced Kayakers we are a little particular about our equipment and setup for trips. Adam went above the call, recommending options and providing expert options/advice. We were welcomed as if we were old friends... More

We hired a couple of kayaks for a three day trip in Desolation Sound; the initial offering wasn't going to suit us so Kyle sorted more appropriate boats and this was a very positive factor. The kayaks were responsive and stable, plenty large enough for a 3-day trip and more than fast enough for us. We are pretty self-sufficient paddlers... More

My friends and I booked a 5-day kayak/camping adventure with Powell River Sea Kayak in September 2016. They are a great outfit and I would highly recommend them - we are definitely planning to go back. Our guides, Luke and Kelly, were fun, friendly and very professional. Both were very knowledgeable about the natural surroundings, current traditional uses, and Aboriginal... More

Adam, This follow up THANK YOU is long overdue ! We had the privilege of going on one of your guided trips, July 12-14, with our assigned guides, Luke and Kelly. It was a totally amazing experience for our two families. Each of us loved every minute of it. You could not have sent us off with better guides. They... More

Alex was our guide and chef for 4 days. Everything was great. Food, equipment, scenery, company and even weather. It was a good balance between relaxing and working hard paddling. Exactly as I was hoping it would be. Alex's meals were above and beyond, he really put some heart in to the meals, so delicious. The other paddlers were also... More

I went on a 5 day trip with Powell River Sea Kayak this summer, and have nothing but positive things to report. Booking was easy, the gear is very good, the guides were terrific - friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was fresh and very tasty. The itinerary was flexible, which is smart because the weather can change and the... More

This is a long review that hopefully gives you some good info. We (my wife Kim and I) recently did 7 days with Powell River Sea Kayak. This was the last week in July. The first 4 days were with kayak guides and the last 3 days we were without guides. All 7 days were at the Cabana Desolation Sound... More

We organized kayak rentals through these guys and I can't tell you anything about the kayaks. On the day of the rental it was windy and raining and certainly not a day to head out. We decided to scrap our plans for a 3-4 day trip and try the next day. Unfortunately the next day was more of the same... More

Just a quick “thank you" for the shut-out. We have been in business for 22 years and it is rare when people take the time to recognize the less-tangible details. Much appreciated! Thank you. More

My wife and I rented a double kayak and spent a wonderful Sunday on the water last week. We went to the Okeover location as we are both novice paddlers and that was a good choice for us. The equipment was very good but we had little orientation. It was a very low tide and we had to carry the... More

This was quite simply the best vacation experience I have ever had. Forget saving for Disney World. Mexico will always be there. Do this instead. The experience will create memories that are worth every penny and then some.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review! I love it (especially the Disney World part...). This was our first kayak-camping trip of the 2016 season and great to start things with a bang (orcas included!!)! Thanks for choosing to tour with us and have a great summer! More
