Fun and Beautiful

Bring a coffee and enjoy. The plants and the butterflies are amazing. The other critters are fun too. It is a nice day to look and visit, and enjoy the beauty.

Great learning experience for both young and old. Lots to see at this establishment. Mr E, the parrot topped off our adventure.

If I'm honest I wasn't quite sure what to expect, I've been to some really tacky venues in the past but this was a really great couple hours. The staff are really knowledgeable and the colours quite stunning. They also have other animals there - Parrots, Flamingos, Tortoises etc. (can't remember them all). Gift shop but no coffee shop -... I truly loved this place! After seeing all the Butterflies, the two Flamingos prancing around, the amazing coy swimming about; the are huge. And, they all get along. I saw a Turtle trying to 'make a break for it' in the stone enclosure...for his protection... but then he did a back flip and was unable to turn over...My husband told... More

The Victoria Butterfly Garden is small but beautiful. It is all indoors and beautifully landscaped. There is even a little waterfall and pond with turtles. They have numerous displays with cocoons and hatching butterflies. You can see butterflies and parrots in the trees. There were people stationed around the area giving interesting information about the butterflies. When you are finished... More

We visited the Butterfly Gardens in June and enjoyed it immensely. You enter the nice air conditioned building with an awesome gift shop, and go thru the doors into the area where the butterflies and more are at. The place is very warm and humid...obviously good environment for the butterflies. There are lots and lots of plants that you really... More

Don't wear your coat, you will be carrying it about the entire time. We were able to see some very rare butterflies flying about and sometimes they landed and we were able to get a snapshot. We also got up close and personal with a parrot!

We had a wonderful visit to the Butterfly Gardens. Located just down the road from Butchart Gardens, it's easy to combine the two. Where Butchart has all of the lovely flowers, the Butterfly Gardens have pink flamingos, parrots, colorful frogs, and of course tons of butterflies. Stop by; you won't be sorry!

We visited here with our 2 year old son. He was very excited to see so many butterflies, fish, frogs and tortoise. He also lived the flamingos, ducks and parrots. Sadly the iguana was too high up and we'll camouflaged for him to see. Be aware it gets very warm in the farm especially when running around after a toddler.... More
