Why is this a tourist spot ?

It's just a stadium. We have been a few times to watch soccer matches. Since I haven't been to any other stadiums, I can not compare them.

Went to the FIFA 2018 World Cup Qualifier yesterday v New Caledonia at North Harbour - pathetic organisation from the start. An international match should attract at least 20 000 people so the QBE stadium holding 25 000 should have been perfect but the total lack of advertising and perhaps the ticket price ($30) coupled with the lack of liaising... HOLY MOLY. Best experience with my brothers. We went to watch the u-20 soccer World Cup final. It couldn't of got better, good seating, great staff, but some staff were a bit to harsh. There are some who try to be annoying, but my bros cheered me up, I want to go again in the future, #Bestexperienceever

It's a short drive north from Auckland CBD but you can also get there by bus. Parking areas aren't huge but there is parking on the surrounding streets and shopping mall. Access to the stadium is easy and seating blocks are clearly marked. There's always security staff at the venue and they will assist you when asked. Refreshments can be... More

Seat close to playing area. Have grassed area at each end for families. Parking can be a problem so if coming from city - take the bus.

Nice stadium, NZers will complain about how it is so far from the city when it actually isn't that far when you compare it to other cities around the world! Nice place to come if you want to just go for a jog as well. Close to the mall.

The atmosphere and food is excellent. I think the venue is ideal for work based courses. Parking is easy too.

The pitch was a disgrace for a supposedly top NZ venue in Auckland - painted dirt to give impression of green field .....Traveled 8 hours for A League football game (Phoenix) . Parking near the stadium a rort ($10 cash). Gates open an hour from kick off - nothing to do but wait, wait around with no food or toilet... More

We were here for the Under 20 football World Cup. Being a rectangular stadium rather than a cricket oval it gives a great view of the pitch. But with three sides uncovered, and even the covered side not fully weather proof, you want to be here on a fine night!

This stadium feels like the building is incomplete though it appears done. I've attended events at this stadium twice now and have sat in different areas. The stadium has four sides, but only one side is covered up and that cover has not been built fully extended to shelter everyone seated in that section. This leaves some people sitting in... More
