Less than half an hour walk from the car park, one of the great waterfall around, a well maintained path that can lead you to the top of the falls.

dispite some of the reviews here it is only about 15 minutes walk from the car park by the beach hint, don't leave valuables on view in the car as it is isolated good falls but can be spoilt by people posing for selfies without...More

It was about a 20 minute hike from the parking lot...not too difficult. Once at the falls it was beautiful. The water was flowing well today. The pictures were beautiful.

Rent a car and drive to the west of Auckland. Go to the Visitor centre first and decide which one you will do. Half an hour to the fall. One hour a return.

Worth it just for the trek itself - a nice loop through the native bush that brings you to a stunning waterful. Can get quite busy.

Some of the best Nikua Palm forest to walk in in NZ. Well laid out track and you can do a loop at the end. might get you feet wet after heavy rain but otherwise easy track.
