A sweet little coffee shop but not much of a menu and have only ever seen one staff member who heats the food up behind the counter so looks like a simple operation and not geared towards crowds or busy times. Food and drink is nice enough but nothing amazing.

It seems an odd place to visit, a cemetery, but I was last there 40 years ago and decided to visit again this year. It is very overgrown and I think the volunteers will probably never get a handle on clearing the site up to any great extent because it has become so bad. Nevertheless, it still has an intrigue... Even on a cold winter's day Arnos Vale Cemetery was full of birdsong. It is easy to reach by public transport - either walk along Bath Road from Temple Meads Station, or catch the no. 1 bus. (The no. 2 bus also goes nearby). We preferred the wilder areas further and higher up from the main road. As it is... More

Great to visit for a walk around and look out for the guided evening tours - we did one and it was amazing, so interesting, haunting.

Some of the graves and decoration around them are stunning. You could spend hours reading the stones and taking in the area.

I convinced my Grandma to go here with me. She had NO idea why I was pushing for us to go to a graveyard and thought it would be depressing. NOPE!! It's actually very peaceful, beautiful, and historical. There's also a very modern cafe which overlooks some of the ground. I really recommend going through all of the winding paths... More

Arnos Vale Cemetery is an amazing oasis of peace and wildlife near the centre of Bristol.away from the road and buzz of life. The buildings and grounds give a fascinating insight to the history of Bristol. Find out how much the Red Cross had to pay for each plot! It has a great little cafe next to an old chapel... More

If you're looking for a calm and pleasant copy for a walk in Bristol, then visit the Arnos Vale Cemetery. The space isn't massive, so one can easily take in all the sights in a short period of time. The greenery is wonderful; such a fabulous green space in urban Bristol.
