This is a lovely historic part of Bristol, steeped in history. There is a really pretty physic garden for a few benches. There is also some nice planting by the new bridge. However, there is some litter problem, some undesirable characters and no benches anywhere. There is so much potential for this to be really lovely, time to improve it... More

Thought we would go and see the new castle bridge and enjoy a walk. All I can say is - if this is litter control before the cuts start to bite - it will become a landfill site soon

Look out for events - something often going on there. I saw circus skills workshop and 'The Ambling Band' on the same afternoon. Easy access to city centre. Nice for picnics. Views of the river.

Castle Park is a busy area with people using it to get to the shops, work etc, but it's still nice to stroll around. The old St John's church has a little garden around it and benches, so again worth a wander round. You are also close to the water at the bottom end of the park.

It's a nice idea, putting a small park in the centre of a city, but it doesn't quite work. It is too small to be much of a park, just a quiet and pretty throughfare really. Very nice views over the water though whilst walking along.

The castle is a ruin. But the park is very nice even though it's not that big. When the sun is out, it's really enjoyable.

A wonderful hilly and green park in the city center. Perfect for strolling, picnics and people watching. Well kept, gardens and a ruined church that makes for intetesting photographic opportunities. We spent a few hours resting from our morning walkaround and enjoyed the sunshine along with our picnic.
