Take a tour and learn about High Wycombe's wonderful heritage of making Windsor chairs. From the bodgers in the Beech woods to the benchmen (who made the other chair parts) to the framer who assembled the chair parts which can be seen on display. Demonstrations are given of a working shave horse and pole lathe whenever possible. We also at Kraft Village have a large contemporary art gallery, artist studios, Kraftinwood woodturning workshop and a craft gift shop.

If you like chairs this museum is great, but if you like tables then frankly avoid.... After a visit, go to the white horse pub where sunday lunch is only a few pounds and the exotic dancers are even cheaper

Please note that this and the furniture factory closed January 2014. However it now houses three artist's studios and one woodcraft. All are fascinating especially Poppi Harrison's vibrant flowers and special floral art. And a lovely welcoming person too as is Robert Bishop at Kraftinwood....More

Really enjoyed visiting this furniture maker and touring the workshops. There are only a few chairs in the museum which were very interesting but the really interesting items were the bespoke chairs and furniture being currently made in limited editions. Defnitely future museum pieces! Chairs...More
