I was attending a conference held in the Fitzwilliam College and also stayed there for three nights. The room was pretty basic and kind of run-down but still clean and relatively spacey. The staff was really very friendly and helpful. There are a few city buses...More

We spent four nights at Fitzwilliams, principally to attend a wedding in their chapel. A delightful and quiet place to be based. The room was a good size and had an ensuite shower room. Yes, it is basic but comfortable, clean and has everything you...More

I stayed at Fitzwilliam while recently working in Cambridge. It was a very unpleasant experience. The staff were pleasant but not trained in hospitality. The rooms are awful, I stayed in two. Very dark and dingy with unbelievably awful en suite facilities. I was there...More

Staff friendly. Fascinating building and artefacts/paintings. Free to visit. Shop rather pricey. Cafe closed quite early.

The building and its contents should not be missed. So much to admire. It has an interesting gift shop and a purposeful cafe.

The building itself was covered with scaffold and plastic sheeting when we visited, which was a shame, but the interior is magnificent with a section somewhere to please everybody. The cafe and shop is lovely and clean and not too pricey.

This week I attended a Sutton Trust Summer School studying Economics and we were lucky to be given accommodation at Fitzwilliam College where we were served breakfast, provided with a packed lunch and then served dinner in the evening. My room was about twice the...More
