A lovely walk to the lovely thatched cottages and a nice pub. It takes only an hour to get there along the river Cam and across the fields.

If you visit Granchester get there early. I was there by 11am and got parked easily at the Grandhester tea rooms. However when I left 2 hours later cars were queued up waiting to get in. The queue for the cafe was out the door...More

Really enjoyed the walk along the river, but could have been enhanced with better signage. An easy walk & the village is worth visiting with its links to Rupert Brook. Beautiful Church highlighting the TV series Granchester. Enjoyed a drink on the terrace at The...More

Once again we traveled the path along the river by bike to Grantchester. The experience of tea and scones in the orchard is not to be missed.

We drove here to visit where one of our favourite TV programmes is filmed. We visited the church and the graveyard and had a walk around the village finishing off siting outside in the garden of the coffee shop.

Pretty little village, enjoyed coffee at the cafe & learned a little about Rupert Brooke. We had a pleasant walk along the river. There were a couple of nice looking pubs but we didn't visit them.

Grantchester always crops up when I search for river swimming. Is there a top spot? Should me and the kids start in Grantchester and head towards Cambridge or away? Is the current a bit strong? Advice appreciated.
