Kettles Yard was a home and is still furnished and visitors are allowed to make themselves comfortable, read the books etc. The art collection ,particularly my favourite Alfred Wallis, is superb, and for lovers of modern British art, this is heaven. I adore the house,...More

Restored house of an art historian, who was particularly keen on modern art. Personally that isn't really my scene but if you like that sort of thing then it's wonderful. Apparently.

Excellent exhibitions here all the time often with intelligent catalogues to accompany them. At the very edge of Cambridge a bit out of the way but worth seeking out. Excels in British Art.

Lovely art gallery in unusual atmosphere, having been a private house. Not far from the centre of Cambridge and a relatively quiet spot. Very knowledgeable custodians, generally elderly ladies who are all too keen to tell you more about the place! It's in the process...More

Kettle's Yard is an absolute gem. Quirky, interesting and full of interesting art and artifacts collected and kept in the house. Walking from room to room you come across all sorts of delights and the house itself is interesting. From ringing the bell at the...More
