Beautiful College Steeped in History

Well worth the visit. One of the smaller Cambridge Colleges but beautiful and interesting. Well kept gardens and pretty chapel.

We were lucky enough to be invited to dinner by our grandson. Although the hall was quite full the food was served quickly and efficiently. The quality was excellent as too was the ambience. We had a most enjoyable evening.

Pembroke College is on Trumpington Street, with the side street being Pembroke Street. Pembroke becomes Downing Street, which is where our hotel (Hilton) was located. As a result, we walked past Pembroke College every day on our way back to the Hilton. Very attractive buildings and worth a photograph or two.

Pembroke college is located on trumpington street in Cambridge. It is listed in the higher education category. It has a beautiful building and great lawns. The college is the third-oldest college of the university. About seven hundred students are there. A good quick visit is suggested.

So It was a delight to visit it's name sake. What a lovely garden and church. We visited during a restricted visitor time but were still able to get an overview.

We popped in by chance and were able to walk round the grounds These are beautiful and give you a glimpse of what it must be like to live in a college.

It is unfortunate that this college doesn't have any outdoor seating - it's a superb and spectacular college with beautifully manicured lawns. The Fellows Lawn is particularly nice overseen by the statue of its famous son, William Pitt. The chapel is old and full of character. It has a 15th Century stone carving of St Michael and the Virgin opposite... More

Visited here during Open Cambridge weekend. Porters were helpful and friendly (not always the case in Cambridge I find) and the grounds and buildings interesting and delightful.

Nice college - interesting to see the chapel and buildings. You can visit it for free and this can be part of strolling through the town.
