Overview
More
Founded in the early 1900s, we are Cambridge's oldest and friendliest punting company. We founded pleasure punting in Cambridge and have hired boats along the famous College Backs and on the scenic route towards Grantchester village for over 100 years. As the first company in Cambridge to offer chauffeured tours of the College Backs, our VisitEngland award-winning services include both our boat hire and our College Backs Tour. Discover how the city has evolved from medieval market town to world-class centre for education whilst enjoying spectacular views from the river - the ideal introduction to the city's inspiring history.

Brought a student ticket for £16 and an adult ticket for £19 for a shared 45minutes journey (reasonably priced). It is a 2 mile boat ride in total. PRO had a good laugh- CON Waited 30minutes but sat at the bar terrace watching the other...More

While not as important as getting inside some of the 31 colleges at this world-famous university, it is a very nice thing to do to rent yourself an hour on a punt that glides along the Cam (River) and provides a view of the "backs"...More

Had a lovely time on the Cam with Joshua, our guide. He was informative, funny & consequently made our hour on the river fly by. My only advice would be to avoid Saturdays as the river is full of hen & stag parties.

Having tried punting in my university days (not at Cambridge) I decided to take a Shared College Backs Punt Tour, as early as possible before the River Cam got too busy. Our guide pointed out the useful relevant information as we went along and was...More

We recommend booking through the tourist information office (by the market) because this gets you a slightly cheaper price. We paid about £13.50 each (students) and in return got a really well-led group tour along the river, lasting 45 minutes. The service was really smooth...More

Took an impromtu punt on the river in Cambridge. The person who took us was a student and had many funny and interesting facts to tell us pretty much all the way along the river. The ride took around 40 mins and we went on...More

Enjoyed the beautiful views from the river of the colleges, the only way to see them. However, factually the tour had many incorrect facts which is so unnecessary....it doesn't take much to check out your information!

We had a great time on this tour! The girl in our boat was so nice and explaining history. The views were amazing and the boats are big and comfy with blankets to sit on and out over you.
