Our first visit to an Oxbridge college and for the price we were charged and for what we could see we felt very ''short changed.'' Apart from the area around the chapel we were limited in what we could view. Then I suppose the bridge of sighs was the remaining part left to look at. Poor value for money.

This is one of the nicest colleges in Cambridge, similar to Harry Potter movie or Oxford, so if you like this style of architecture, you should certainly visit this one.

Compared to other colleges you can visit for half the money this isn't really good value. I suppose the cost relates to "The Bridge of Sighs" but given you can only look rather than cross it that seems a problem. In the end I think the banks of the Cam should all be accessible. Simple NRA rules.

St John's College is one of the largest and oldest colleges is Cambridge. Both the architecture and the gardens surrounding it are great.

Friendly welcoming staff, with a passion for their College. The Old Library, isn't often open, but worth visiting if it is. There is an enchanting view of the Bridge of Sighs through the window. This is marvellous space, which literally oozes history and The collection of books, the architecture, the ornate carved wooden shelving with so many ancient books ,... More

You can of course just amble through the streets of Cambridge and soak up plenty of historic educational history and architecture but it was well worth paying the small fee to really explore St. John's College. There is a route marked out so that you don't miss anything and as with the rest of Cambridge, although it's busy it's a... More

Not as impressive as King's College as far as buildings go but it's still a nice stroll. It's big with a lot of buildings so you'll get to stroll through a few courtyards. St John's, known as John's, is not a really beautiful college. It straddles the river Cam with one of the more famous bridges - the Bridge of... More

Short walk around the guided tourist path. Beautiful architecture, probably looks nicer in the summer than it did in the pouring rain! Good photo opportunity of the Bridge of Sighs, but at £8 per person it's not great value for money for the size. No wonder Cambridge colleges are so wealthy.....

5 stars. Where else do you go for a drink after training? This is the place to be. No doubt about it. Harry is the best host in the world. The wonder of his drinks cabinet is matched only by his chat. A8 @ St.Jonhs will quickstep its way into your heart. If this review isn't enough to convince you... More
