This is a major shopping street in Cambridge outside the King’s Ditch and including the main frontages of both Christ’s College and Emmanuel College. This street is a fashionable shopping street. There are many highly ornamental buildings in this street. It also includes the Church of St Andrew and Cambridge Magistrate’s Court. A stroll through this street refreshes you even... More

This street is slightly away from the main area of colleges so has many more ordinary shops. It is relatively traffic-free, although there will be occasional delivery vehicles. The main problem, as in many other places in Cambridge, is the large number of cyclists who are actually quite adept at avoiding pedestrians.

I often visit St Andrew's street. I pop into a well known book shop nearby, which is good. Cyclists are a real problem in the area, they do not look where they are going.

St. Andrew's Street is a great street in Cambridge full of shops and history. At one end is Hardy's Traditional Sweet Shop, then you have Heffers, The Little Shop On The Corner, culminating at the Senate House. It's a traditionally cobbled street and gets quite busy, and cyclists are a real danger so watch out for those!

Cyclists give very little regard to pedestrians even in the closed off areas to any bike or vehicle. Usual High Street type shops and chains. Independent stores are hard to find.

You get a very good range of shops, cafeteria and pubs on this busy road with easy access to Parkers P
