We were hoping for something along the lines of the Jorvik experience in York but were disappointed. It had the feel of being tired and neglected, some of the archaeological exhibitions looked very jaded and were difficult to read. It may be of more interest...More

I have visited this attraction twice recently and really enjoyed both visits. The Experience transports you back to Roman Chester and provides information and reconstructions to examine. It was really interesting to read about the wages of the Roman Soldiers! The Experience also includes interacting...More

Eductational but quite small - you are left to wonder round and read the signage. You travel into the basement of the building to see the building work through the ages and some bits of interactive stuff for the children and adults who haven't grown...More

More light would have helped and a longer and more detailed video as it was very short and didn't tell you very much - could be made to be much better with more exhibits and information displayed

I visited with my two children and we enjoyed the museum very much. It's a small museum, so the experience lasts about two hours at most, but its really informative and quite reasonably priced. The staff were very knowledgeable, and the excavated areas were a...More

Loads to see in this place, explaining about the romans in Chester, and the historical digs which happened. No discounts for carers which seemed a bit unfair, a little pricey but well worth a visit.

I've never visited here before. Maybe in primary school..... As an adult I knew it would be very school groups and children orientated But I still enjoyed it and enjoyed the part as you enter with the smoke and the boat. Very enjoyable.

Clever by its use of space. Real archeology mixed with interactive hands on fun for the kids... And for those with a more mature view, some rare and well presented finds in a museum context. A must Chester visit.

As per the previous comment - it doesn't spring to mind that the venue could accommodate your situation but do give them a call. Enjoy your stay.
