So much to see here. From Roman history through to natural history. Also lots about silver production during Victorian times.

Nice museum and art galery but several area's were closed, hence the 4 star recommendation. Lots of children visiting so obviously used by local schools as an education resource.

Free in 2018 There was a lot of Roman stuff as you'd expect. There were some nice paintings Didn't like the stuffed animals but it was interesting to see the natural history of the area. Don't miss the period house beyond the shop with period...More

Ample parking nearby. Child friendly. Attentive staff. Well worth a visit to learn more about Chester's origins.

The museum is open between 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm on Sundays.

Unfortunately none of the museum staff are producing eggs at this moment . Your pet tortoise will have to be kept chained up outside as we are worried he might try to chew dinosaur bones sorry
