Small museum giving great insight into Roman occupation of Chester with great artifacts. Today I was impressed by the quality of the 21st century art exhibition...a number of wonderful exhibits. The current 70s fashion exhibit was limited and disappointing....just a few dresses. Why no shoes/handbags/...More

Free museum (donation suggested) but a bit weary compared to others I've been to. Good for school trips of which there were many.

The Grosvenor Museum includes Art exhibits, Roman artifacts, a Victorian home & a natural history section. Entrance is free and is well worth a 1 hour / 90 minute visit. Children’s activities as well as a gift shop are included.

A really small museum with some really good features. Free entry but you can leave contributions to this really unique building.

This is a very small Museum, and it won't take you very long to see everything. The biggest problem are screaming shouting unruly school children, hundreds of them descend on the place, you wont be able to hear yourself think. The only way to get...More

Close to the city walls, this museum is a possible stop if walking the walls. They often have 90+ school children visiting, so time your visit carefully. We arrived at 10.30 am (they open at 10 am) along with 2 coachloads of school children. However,...More

Unfortunately none of the museum staff are producing eggs at this moment . Your pet tortoise will have to be kept chained up outside as we are worried he might try to chew dinosaur bones sorry
