River Dee walk

A good walk down the River Dee. Good 2 hour pass time. Longer if you stop off at one of the many bars/ pubs along the way.

If you have time to visit Chester, then make some time to walk down by the river. If it's warm anough then grab an icecream and take in the views. If you have kids then there is a great park on the other side (away from the city)

We only walked round part of this walk way but from what we did see it was a very enjoyable walk there's plenty of room for all with plenty to see.

Spent a lovely day with my husband walking around chester and sitting on the beautiful waterfront by the river Dee, there are plenty of places to eat or drink from cafes to resturants to bars. Plenty to do from little boats on the river either rowing or peddling or with a motor. We enjoyed a lovely ride on a tour... More

The River Dee on a sunny winters day was truly picturesque. The few brave souls who braved the cold were treated to a fine walk along the bank for the best part of a mile. Many were sitting in the open enjoy a morning coffee or just taking in the tranquil view. My partner and I would have walked longer... More

The River is the heart of Chester. Wet or dry, cold or hot there are always people congregating the river banks. A brisk walk in winter or a longer stay if the weather is better. The grandchildren emnjoyed the riuver trip on a previous visit.

If you're in Chester and the weather is nice you must take a walk along the river Dee or even sit and relax. Occasionally bands play in the bandstand. There are a couple of café/pubs along the walk. If you have a dog, cross the footbridge to the meadows

Kids loved the walk and feeding seed to the birds. Lots of squirrels in the park adjoining the river. Nice pubs and eateries. Ice cream vendors and boat trips in season

A great place to spend a hour or two walking by the River Dee. Nice flat paths so easy acces for all abilities. A couple of cafes and pubs if you fancy a drink or the option of a river tour on one of the boats. All in all a really nice place to visit.
