We were luck to have perfect weather, we bought the combined bus/ boat ticket which was good value. The boat trip was very enjoyable, very scenic. Only criticism would be that iseating was very tightly packed

The River Dee is a great place to spend an hour or so wandering along. From the weir to the Boathouse there is plenty to see and there are river cruises to enjoy too.

We had purchased a joint bus and boat trip from the tourist information centre in the town hall. This was a half hour trip on the "Dee" and was very nice.

You shouldn't go to Chester as a tourist without going down to the river. Good idea also to take one of the good value boat trips. If you get good weather it is a really nice place to be.
