Phoenix is an award winning independently operated multi-screen cinema on the east coast of Cornwall in the historic town of Falmouth. It is housed within a beautiful Nineteenth Century former "Drill Hall" building.Phoenix contains five cinema screens playing mainstream, classic and art-house releases with three auditoria offering luxury seating with armchairs, sofas, side tables and full waiter service. The two main larger auditoria provide traditional theatre-style cinema seating with stadium layouts and full digital sound and picture. The cinema, as you'd expect, also has a long contemporary confectionery and popcorn counter, but it also houses a stylish bar and restaurant on the first floor with chef-prepared meals, light cinema-snacks or freshly ground coffee and pots of tea. In 2009, the year that Phoenix opened, it won the prestigious UK Independent Cinema Of The Year award. Phoenix is part of the Merlin Cinemas group

We came to see Beauty and the Beast with the kids on a wet day. Thoroughly enjoyed the film and the cinema seats have lots of leg room which is useful for my 6ft 4ins husband. Really good place to watch a film and escape the rain.

We live over in Helston and always without fail travel to Falmouth whenever going to the cinema. It's modern, clean & tidy. Great bar and restaurant upstairs, they also bring food to you whilst you watch your film. Just watched "Hidden Figures" and it was packed on a Monday night!

Thanks for your lovely review. Whereas we haven't got a restaurant over at Helston you should try out our cinema there. It was been completely refitted and refurbished from the front doors right into the screens. Brand new seating, carpeting, decor and improved picture, sound and air conditioning. Granted we haven't done too much to the front-of-house yet which is... More

What a wonderful place, please do give it custom, we must keep places like this open....leg room is amazing, drinks bought to your seat. Nice funky bar with great menu and nice staff. A gem. Do give it a go while on holiday would be great for a rainy day and affordable for whole family.

I normally consider this cinema pretty average and a bit tired but the service this evening (20/11/2016) was excellent. The young ladies who served us were so polite and helpful despite the hectic queue they had to deal with. We didn't manage to catch their names but one of them upsold a delicious G&T sorbet to me! Definitely hope to... More

Oh, we are really sorry if you find the cinema average and tired. from the other reviews it's not normally the response we receive. Of course we are not trying to be like a multiplex, and some people are a bit disappointed that we are a bit more quirky than that, but if there is anything that you think we... More

This is not only a great cinema but a restaurant quality eatery. The staff are brilliant and can't do enough to make your visit a happy one. They are organised and efficient. The food is as good as you will get anywhere in Falmouth at an equivalent eatery. In terms of value for money, the meal deals take some beating.... More

Came here to see the Miss Saigon movie of the show. very busy but staff were really well organised and friendly. We were on the front row, a bit close for me but demand dictated that. Nice place, clean and great staff :)

Lovely atmospheric cinema with the option of double seats! A good looking bar and restaurant on the first floor (didn't try the food).
