Port Isaac is lovely. What a beautiful place, well worth a visit especially if you’re a fan of the TV series “Doc Martin” Extremely picturesque.

For me the down side is because it’s a “working living harbour” you can’t actually go into any of the houses that are featured on the show.

The harbour is a steep walk down from the car park, so I would suggest wearing sensible footwear and be prepared for the walk.

Another negative point is the amount of litter; for a famous village, there’s very few litter bins.

There’s a few lovely little shops (but everything was quite pricey - to be expected for the area but if you’re on a budget it makes it difficult to enjoy the whole experience), the famous pub/restaurant that’s filmed on Doc Martin is a place to stop for a drink; if it’s a meal you want I would recommend booking in advance; alternately there is a fish and chip shop!

It’s not a place you would take very young children as there’s nothing for them (apart from the sweet shop in the harbour)

Stop and taste the gin too, it’s lovely (but again pricey)

Port Isaac is lovely. What a beautiful place to visit and have as a base to other lovely places. There is lots to see and do. We went for a walk, had a cream tea at the Chapel cafe, which was very tasty and I had lobster, which was incredible.
The only down side to the harbour is the amount of litter both from fishing and from visitors on the beach and in the water. Other people swam but it put me off.
Port Isaac is one of the most picturesque places to visit and if you like the tv show Dr Martin then it adds to the visit.
Our accommodation has been fantastic and very local to everything at a great price for August.

Went today and it's as beautiful as ever. Parking not cheap but where is in Cornwall.
Don't park in first car park you come to unless your super fit. As you come down the road turn right to Port Gaverne and there are 2 car parks on the left with easy access to the coastal path. This is less steep than walking down the road. The road is narrow and cars come up and down it. There are toilets down in village on the narrow road up to Doc Martins house 20p.
The Mote pub/ restaurant is great for food, not cheap but great food (a tip is automatically added to the bill). We had a lovely few hours here today.

Very pretty village, well worth a visit. We parked at the car park at the top of the hill (toilets charge 20p) and walked down about 15-20 mins past the Coop. Once you are past the Coop, strangely it isn't signposted to the harbour (it's a left turn by the shops at the the bottom of the hill) . Steep walk down, but extremely picturesque. Quaint shops but everything was pricey for a captive audience. One shop selling surfer hoodies for £60. Having never watched an episode of Doc Martin, it's still a fab place to visit!

was for us the prettiest and most beautiful town we saw in Cornwall. when you park your car and turn left you are hit with a beautiful site of the harbour, boats and house on the hillside it was truly amazing. the harbour is a lovely place to sit on the sea wall have have lunch, the cliff walk was great and the town was lovely to walk around. will go again and might even stay the night. we were going to stay for an hour or so to tick the box as you say but stayed for just over 6 hours

Beautiful place. A must see while in Cornwall. Obviously an attraction due to Doc Martin being filmed here but more than that, it’s such a pretty little place. So much character! Be prepared to walk, it’s steeper than it looks! Stop and taste the gin too, it’s lovely
