A very interesting small museum and garden in the centre of St. Ives. A great insight in to Barbara Hepworth and her work. Facinating

The Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden is a small gallery tucked away in the winding streets of St Ives. It is crammed full of sculptures displayed in the gallery and in the gardens which are a joy to wander around. The absolute highlight of a week in Cornwall.

best thing about Tate in St. Ives - separate to the museum itself. small but full of sculptures, interestingly and effectively arranged in the artist's garden

Well worth a visit to see how Hepworth lived and worked, with her studio still intact, and a pretty little garden overlooking St Ives Church - if you buy a ticket you can upgrade it to a pass for all Tate St Ives galleries.

A fabulous display of some of her finest work. All art lovers should visit. Laid out in a pretty garden you get to see her sculptures displayed as they were intended.

My second visit to the Barbara Hepworth museum - it's a fascinating place that provides an insight into the sculptors life and what inspired her work. Great introductory talk by Ben - this really helped me to understand and appreciate the works on display. Barbara's studio contains interesting examples of her work. The workshop in the garden has a real... More

You really need to make sure that you like Barbara sculptures before you go. Nowadays you can see similar sculptures everywhere from parks upto offices. And you don't need to pay for the entrance. There are around 20 sculptures in the whole museum in total. I personally liked only one of them. And the museum itself is actualy a small... More

Thank you for your feedback following your recent visit and I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed. The museum and garden was Barbara Hepworth's home and studio for the last 25 years of her life and displays 46 of her sculptures and paintings. The entrance fee to the museum does include a guided tour which takes place daily at 13.00,... More

A must see in St Ives. Smaller than you might think, the garen is well laid out and there is a more or less chronological display of BH's scultpures (as with most, long-lived artists, the best items are from the middle-aged prime).
