Large beach with a rocky surrounding to explore. We visited in February and unfortunately the mini golf was closed as its not peak period. There is a nice café/restaurant where we had hot drinks and cakes (they serve hot meals too) with a lovely view of the beach.

A short distance from St Ives is porthminster beach, it has spectacular views and the sea is a beautiful aquamarine colour. It's well worth a visit!

A wide expanse of sandy beach, very clean and quiet over Februsry half term. However, like all of St. Ives there are many steps down to the beach and a channel of water to cross if you want to walk across to the harbour - ok in summer, but freezing just now!

My family have been returning to this beach on holidays for the past 50 years. It is one of the most beautiful in Cornwall and close to the best hotel's and restaurants in the area.

This beach is beautiful and quite cove-like. It doesn't stretch for too long which is great if you are walking dogs that like to wonder! I am not sure if you can walk dogs here all year round but in the winter, it was a perfect location and full of picturesque views!

Excellent beach with superb restaurant. Plenty of space to let dogs run around and children to play.

Acres of golden sand, great walking and rock-pooling at low tide but the sea is never too far away for a swim or a paddle. Super coastal walks around and cafes, beach huts and facilities but best of all the view.

Love this beach any time of year with the beach cafe, beach restaurant and shop. Calmer and more sheltered than Porthmeor so good for small children.
