A favorite place for a family outing, this lovely stretch of beach overlooks Godrevy Lighthouse in the distance.

This beach is a beautiful setting for a good family day out. I've visited here many times and my children (even my teenager) enjoyed themselves here, I'd recommend bringing a wetsuit if it's cold as my kids had plenty of fun on their body boards...More

Lovely soft sand, incredible light (photos, painting) plenty of space, great surfing. Lovely cafe. Walk there as parking can be both expensive and a nightmare in high season.

Large beach in relatively sheltered bay. Deck chairs etc to hire. Cafe and barbecue area, putting green etc. No rough waves ( as are found on the 'surfer beach). In good weather a good place to spend a few hours.

Wide beach, turquoise sea, yellow sand. Very clean. Able to walk along to harbour at low tide. Situated close to station. Good restaurant facilities.

The jewel in the crown when staying in St Ives. Beautiful beach with lifeguards, showers, shops, toilets and refreshments. Great for all ages.

We had a bit of a play one day around all 3 beaches to get the feel of the area. A nice beach, but extremely crowded and busy.

Had a lovely time at this beach. Lots of families, soft waves. Drinks and food available... watch our for the Seagulls, they like your food as well. They are not a nuisance here but they do fly around looking for a quick meal..

Lovely beach, more suited for young children but overall a great family beach with amenities such as food, drinks, beach chairs, windbreakers, cafe's and mini golf. Very accessible by car, walking (St Ives & Carbis Bay), by bus or train.

Pretty beach. Nice ice cream. A real treat. Relaxed but also well organised. Lots of bins and activities for kids.

It's flat so great for paddle boarding. They do hire surf boards but you do surfing on the beach on the other side of St. Ives.

There in April and you couldn't take your dog on the beach then. However Porthgwidden beach nearby allows dogs.
