Dolly P is the blue boat operated by St Ives Boats from the harbour at St Ives. Dolly P, is a Lochin 33, a 10 metre boat powered by a 350hp Volvo Penta engine, for a fast, stable and comfortable ride. We are licensed by the MCA to carry 12 passengers up to 60 miles. Our most popular Trip is the one hour trip to Seal Island, which we run hourly (weather permitting) on a daily basis. Seal Island is home to a colony of Grey Atlantic Seals and is 6km west of St Ives. The boat, Dolly P, clings to the coastline before reaching Seal Island where the boat stays for 15-20 minutes to observe the seals. The other boat trips we offer are trips to Godrevy Lighthouse, trips to Hell's Mouth and Private Charters, including Ashes Scattering Services. We also offer Fishing trips from St Ives, both 1 1/2 hour Mackerel Fishing Trips and 4 hour Wreck and reef Fishing Trips. Bookings can be made by Mel, who you will find Outside The Lifeboat Station. Or phone to book

Extraordinary experience at short notice, as we did not intend to go on a boat trip, nor indeed see dolphins today. The suggestion seemed good when approached by a friendly lady on the harbour, and she gave us a discount when asked. The purpose of...More

It's a nice trip to see the seals and the scenery is lovely. My main issue with this tour is that you are given no information or facts about the seals which I feel would have given a much fuller experience.

Went on the seal island trip with our 2 kids. Some big waves and saw some seals. Kids got to sit in the captains seat on the way back. Staff very friendly. Highly recommended.

There were 10 of us on the boat including a few children, there was plenty of room. The captain kept the speed down so we didn't get too splashed, it was a pleasant ride to where the seals were and we were lucky enough to...More
