I do love this part of the coastal walk, from St Ives to Lelant. The sole blip is the loss of beach and beach views when you pass the Carbis Bay Hotel. The new buildings (still unfinished) take up a huge visual space as you...More

Went to Lelant salting midday and the parking was full so went to St Erth. They’re in the process of building more parking but we didn’t have a problem. Definitely sit on the right hand side of the train - that’s where the view is....More

When staying at St Ives we spent one whole day (10 hours) walking to Lelant and back. This included coffee by the harbour at St Ives, a drink at the Carbis Bay hotel. Then a long paddle along Carbis Bay beach and around the headland...More

A great walk, we went from st ives upto Lelant. The views over Carbis Bay are quite brilliant. The views into St Ives are great, it’s worth the effort.

The colours are absolutely stunning and we got them both in the rain and the shine. What a wonderful part of the country this is.

We got the train from St Ives to Lelant Saltings then did this walk back. Both the train and the walk had great coastal scenery to admire. There are some ups and downs though the walk is not too long and you can pause at...More

Takes about two hours from Lelant Park & Ride Station. The coastal walk is beautiful but bear in mind that it is very narrow in places and very hilly! The views, particularly of the Hayle estuary, are spectacular although much of the walk is through...More

Hi, As you would expect with the Coast Path some of it is along cliff tops, but on this section whenever you are close to an edge there is either a fence or a bank between you and the drop, so you should be fine.

The walk is about four and a half miles. We stopped in carbis bay for lunch. It does go up and down, and is steep in places. We got the train back to Lelant saltings.
