The guildhall happened to be open for an exhibition of local historic maps. These maps were nice, but the real highlight is a view of the interior. The wooden beams supporting the roof looked quite remarkable to me. The large paintings of (presumably) prominent persons...More

The guild hall has been in operation as a guild hall and as a city office since it was built. You can easily see it yourself or you see it on one of the Exter tours that begin at the Cathedral.

Free entry makes it worth popping in to the Guildhall, spend ten minutes here taking in some local history. Right in the town centre amongst the shops.

A wonderful hall to marvel at. Free to go in. Just the one room to see, but worth it. The opening hours are not all that long.

I like the outside of this building, which is in city centre. It's free to get inside and whilst it is a small hall there is a lot to see as the woodwork is very impressive.

This building, of medieval of origin, is worth a look when passing. Other than that there is very little more to be said.
