We found these botanic gardens very disappointing. It is expensive to get in then you have to pay again to go on the train around the park. The gardens were ok but we have seen better. We avoided the cafe as it was very untidy and the food was expensive This was not the place for us as we have... More

We visited as a birthday day out. We were blessed with fine weather and arrived bang on opening time. First priority was a cup of coffee in the Orangery but were limited in choice of cakes because the "scones have just gone in the oven". Next we very much enjoyed the train ride around the gardens, a relaxing way to... More

Plenty to see and do. Beautiful gardens to explore. The children liked floating blossoms in the little streams! Very interesting glass houses and tree collections. Great for a mixed age day out.

These gardens are stunning. Make time to visit the church at the bottom of the garden, it's worth it on it's own. Restaurant was unexceptional but perfectly OK.

Visited with wife and 2 dogs and spent a few hours meandering round the pleasant and well laid out grounds, probably not at its best and would likely be better in a months time however still a worthwhile visit with plenty of colour and interest thanks to the seasonal planting, seems a popular destination with families and children as both... Excellent value for a perfect walk around a garden full of trees and flowers. Outdoor play area is very suitable for little ones with tiny houses to explore, green picnic area, and for older children a twisting slide. Also indoor soft play area is safe and very clean. If you live close and you have young children I recommend a... More

Seasonal plantings change but visiting these gardens full of spring flowers and early blossom was worth our revisit this year. There is a small museum based on early agriculture and horticulture equipment which children will find interesting. There is even a train ride around the estate (at additional cost) and a play area also for children and plenty of grass... More

There is so much to see at Bicton Park Botanical Gardens that you will probably need more than one day to see the whole experience, the countryside museum is brilliant with a large collection of farming exhibits. The gardens, water features and the range of trees are spectacular, the train ride may cost a little extra but it is worth... More
