Even in poor weather, there's a good view of the harbour entrance and out to sea.

I did a 3-week study abroad program in Plymouth at Marjon University, and as Plymouth is a fairly small city, my classmates and I frequented the downtown and Plymouth Hoe. Not only can you walk on the famous Mayflower steps (which is thrilling for anyone,...More

We visited Plymouth for a family event and decided to have a walk along the How while we where there. Best fish and chips I've had in a long time with a few little shops dotted around. I can image there would be a few...More

Top viewing point in area close to City. Historic Military port recognises the fallen by many statues including Drake, of course

Views superb. Imagine yourself back 424 years and what Sir Frances Drake was doing... Plus, there's the Ferris Wheel to enjoy and get even better views of Plymouth and Cornwall from.

After walking through the Barbican and following Madeira Drive, the view opens to the sea with Drake's Island in the harbour. Beautiful regardless of the weather.

Beautiful views and area to just stroll around and read the monuments and light house or simply to take kids to use their bike or skate board. In the summer you can sometimes find live music here, it'd be great if it was used more...More

Once again way too much garbage laying around along with dog dirt, empty beer cans and general rubbish. Plymouth Council NEED to clean the city up! Full stop!

Great open space with beautiful view - nice for picnics in the summer, bracing walk and a coffee in the cafe in the winter and watching the fireworks in August. Also many great concerts and exhibitions held here.

What a lovely thing to do, and yes the Hoe is well lighted and very safe for cycling as there are various traffic calming measures preventing the lunatics from spoiling your time there. Enjoy!

No idea as Remembrance Sunday was so busy, but I would imagine so being such a high profile location
