The Barbican has pretty cobbled lanes and an interesting mix of shops (art, antiques, souvenir etc) and restaurants. There are historic sites such as Mayflower Steps and the Fort, which are interesting to wander around. It can get very busy when it's the summer and...More

After a leisurely walk on the Hoe, try popping down to the Barbican, plenty of quayside bars to quench your thirst ;) There always seems to be at least one with live music, so listen, drink and watch the world go by.

Very convenient for the Maritime Docks. Very cosy pub/hotel, great price. Dinner was hand cooked by the chef who asked us how we would like the dishes. Very good indeed. Cost pub, warm and good beer too.
