Visited St Andrews on a rainy day in Plymouth and glad we did. Knowing nothing about the church we were glad that one of the guides in the church took it upon herself to explain the history of the church following its bombing during a raid in the Second World War. It's quite an inspirational and uplifting story and demonstrated... More

Attended a Sunday Family Service. There were a lot of children who went off to their activities. The service only lasted an hour but was just what we needed on a weekend away. it seemed quite a friendly place with lots going on.

The motto over the door, erected after total destruction by enemy action in WW2 sums up the importance of this church to the city's morale in the darkest days of war, and the commitment to peace. Very interesting exhibitions: new, modern stained glass; and a sense of the unimportance of "man" in the grand scheme of things. My parents married... More

I saw Heather peace here in Sept 2015. It was freezing they left the door open the whole gig, And made us queue outside while they had a service between the soundcheck and gig. I just found the staff very unhelpful and the fact it was so cold put me off

I visited this church when I went to Plymouth. It is free to get in and has some beautiful stained glass windows. The people there are really friendly and are welcoming and know their history of the church.

Well Worth a visit - the stain glass windows are beautiful and so colourful. There is interesting history associated with the church with friendly and staff to share information with you.

Very little was left of the original church after the bombing of WWII, The rebuilt church is attractive though not spectacular. One of the church volunteers was very personable and eager to share his knowledge of the history of the building.

We came here recently for a big funeral and lying against the steps in front of the small right hand altar at the east end was an impressive but slightly incongruous grey metal frame in the shape of a flat cross set with many hundreds of individual light, one for each of Plymouth's WWII civilian victims of the bombing. Apparently... More

A beautiful church in the middle of Plymouth City Centre. Open every day. Wander round on your own or talk to people who will tell you a bit about the history of this building. Small shop with cards and gifts etc
