Didn't visit the house due to time constraints but the ruins and gardens are very interesting with good signage and explanations of what you are looking at. The tropical greenhouse is fascinating.

What a pleasant surprise Torre Abbey was, we found details in a leaflet in the cottage we were staying in and decided to visit, very good exhibition in the house and the grounds were very pleasant

The lottery funding has been put to brilliant use. The interactive displays on the monastic history, development, and use of the site during the Napoleonic wars are informative and appealingly presented. There is a good collection of paintings which are nicely displayed. I had gone...More

This is well worth a visit, the ticket costs £8 for an adult and gives you 2-day access. Plenty to see with a very nice art gallery included and gardens.
