A truly magnificent production of A Christmas Carol. Once again TOADS has provided us with the highlight of our stay in Torquay. I can't praise this Theatre Company highly enough. A magical evening.

This theatre puts on around 10 shows each year with each show lasting between 7 and 14 days. All the performers are amateurs yet you wouldn't think so. Its one of the best values for money for theatre in the area. There are plenty of car parking spaces, as well a boasting a café and a bar. Everyone gets a... More

We were so excited to see that a production of A Murder Is Announced was being performed during our stay in Torquay. We're massive Agatha Christie fans and we weren't disappointed. They evoked the perfect atmosphere and gave us a brilliant evening of entertainment. We had to agree that Brenda Hutchings, as Mitzi, was outstanding; helped by a wonderful part... More

We visited this theatre with a group of friends to see the Alan Ayckbourb play 'Role Play'. The acoustics weren't great and the female lead was weak, so we do not feel tempted to return to this theatre. We have enjoyed both amateur and professional productions at the excellent Northcott Theatre in Exeter and the Palace in Paignton, so our... More

There is nothing limited about the ambition nor the standard achieved by the company of actors and backstage staff, all unpaid, who are part of the Little Theatre in Torquay. On Thursday night, I went with my two siblings to see Alan Ayckbourn's "Role Play". We enjoyed their staging of the play and their first class ensemble performance. We also... More

We visited friends, who, knowing I have been an active "thesp"at my local Am Dram group in Hampshire, had booked tickets to see a farce - Role Model. The venue is a delight; a converted church, with lush red curtains, galleried seating and a big stage. The acoustics were excellent, as was the set. Front of house staff were impeccably... More

TOADS are a group that never fail to please and this production was no exception. Acted with precision and enthusiasm by the talented cast and I must commend the scenery and costumes which completed the picture. The Little Theatre is a joy, sympathetically converted from an old church with a bar and tea room. Arrive early and have a cuppa... More

The theatre is smaller the the big venues and its a beauty - the red velvet chairs are a joy, the bar is retro and have a good selection of wine. I have to say that the staff are ace, personable characters with a smile they add to the wonder of the venue. The comedy acts that I saw were... More

This theatre is local to us and beautifully converted from an old church. We have been many times before. The play was beautifully acted and the players were into their roles with great enthusiasum. The only thing which let this play down slightly was the scenery or lack of it.Food and drink is available during the interval. Some seats are slightly cramped.

We had the real pleasure of seeing their production of the 39 Steps last night. It was simply fantastic, hilarious, and a real tour de force. Utterly brilliant.
