There is not a lot to do at hengistbury head but if the sun is shining it's a real sun trap. You can get a meal or am ice-cream here but really it's all about the beach.

Love this place. Nice for a walk, a picnic, a day at the beach with spectacular bay views. Also try walking across Mudeford spit and take the short ferry crossing for some fresh seafood on the quay. Try the Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre or even...More

Hengistbury is a family favourite. Go fly a kite. Go for a long walk. Go for a dip. Sit and relax watching the boats as they sail on the breeze. An historical place where evidence of the iron and bronze ages have been discovered.

Walking for exercise stunning scenery, even in the winter. There is a pay car park at the entrance or free along the main road. If you run out of steam or it rains there is a Land train to take you back!

Yes, although I would suggest keeping dogs on leads due to live stock but awesome views. Visit the Hungry Hiker after your walk as they have a good selection of light bites.
