Really nice journey in a steam train. I haven't been in one until I came here so it's something that I really recommend although tickets aren't cheap around £7. No long journey. Dogs friendly. Es un recorrido muy bonito en tren d vapor q la verdad yo no habia estado en ningun. Lo recomiendo pero los tickets son como £7... More

Great locally run steam railway - lovely countryside on the trip out and back and good gift shop. Timetable during summer months runs a good frequency of trains. We paid the extra £1 to sit in the observation car and it was well worth it for the views (even if it was a little like a greenhouse as it was... More

We parked at Norden and made a day of it by visiting Swanage before returning late afternoon. A lovely heritage railway, superbly maintained and evoking those far distant memories of holidays long past when the world was a much nicer place. We really must visit again taking more time to explore the various stops along the way.

Lovely staff, a great experience and a fantastic way to travel after our long walk. You can take dogs (for £1) and it's lovely to support the volunteers who've done an amazing job getting the railway up to this standard

Tickets are not cheap but this is must for all ages! Knowledgeable volunteers abound and the train is a delight.

Organised this all day trip for my partners birthday. Arrived early and enjoyed a breakfast in Poole before boarding the boat. Unfortunately we were advised at the booking desk that the trip had been cut by 1 hr 45 mins due to tide changes. This meant that we did not have time to actually go around Corfe Castle and have... A lovely steam railway - I work in social care and visited with a client. It was the highlight of his week. All the staff, without exception, were polite, friendly and more than willing to help when assistance was required.

We rode on the steam train from Swanage to Corfe Castle. A great way to get there instead of driving. The museum at Corfe Castle station was interesting. An enjoyable day out

Visited here for their Diesel Gala and was amazed at how friendly everyone was. Had a lovely pastie from the coach. Very reasonable prices. The railway has lovely views and it's a nice walk in Corfe Castle from Norden. They have a dining train which we didn't use but looked lovely.

We took the first train from Norden and returned on the last train from Swanage. Gave us time to walk on the coast going west from Swanage, to Durlston Castle for a snack lunch. Lovely day out!
