I frequently visit my former home town of Brighton & Hove and often stroll the seafront area. I am not usually interested in buying artwork but nevertheless the Artists' Quarter it is an attractive place to linger. My last visit was in September 2016.

We visited the Artist's Quarter whilst strolling down the Brighton Beach walkway. I'm not really into Art but could appreciate some of the paintings and pictures that these independent local artists do. Worth while visiting this area and you may even buy yourself something from these great shops.

The whole section on the front has greatly benefitted from the improvements and Commercial innovations... More

I visited some of these Arches studio shops to see what they sold. Not a stick of rock to be found but some nice little souvenirs, mostly original work. Some hand made clothes and other unusual gew gaws. Some bemoaned the i360 work and it's blockages on the beach and paths next to it badly effecting business but they're looking... More

this is my favourite sunday afternoon noon mooch/stroll after a local sunday roast at a pub, in the summer its lovely but busy, because everyone will walk it, its a walk under the arches with cafes on the beach front, galleries, artisan shops, friendly shop owners, very cosmopolitan. theres a volley ball court, bands playing outside the music hall bar... the Artists Quarter of Brighton beach is pleasant stretch of the lower esplanade about 200metres long. The small artists workshops have various 'Art' standing and hanging outside raning from paintings to sculptures and mirrors. Most of it is produced by the artists in the workshops, some of the sculpture such as the Ducks and dogs is clearly imported in making... More
