This small museum has some interesting seasonal exhibitions, and some permanent exhibits. The toy section brought back lots of memories, and the exhibit on Hove’s links to early cinema was fascinating. Some of the exhibits are slightly confusing in layout.

Nice little museum, I've visited many times in the past and the problem is that they don't seem to change or add items much!

Small museum with good collection & display of toys and art. Very child friendly, with colouring and displays that kids can enjoy. Our kids loved the cinema and the various cameras and pictures from yesteryear! Not the biggest museum but we happily spent a couple...More

An excellent place to visit in conjunction with a visit to the Pavilion. (Our museum ticket included visits to the Pavilion and Preston Manor). The museum gives visitors a peak into the opulent life in Brighton during the 18th and 19th century.

This is a very underrated museum that is quirky in an old fashioned way. Well worth a diversion for an hours visit. Great toys and also good display on film.

I love this little Museum/Gallery - it's full of truly lovely things, quirky old films of Brighton in a tiny cinema, old toys, a scorpion (you'll need to go to find out more), beautiful ceramics in the cafe and, of course, paintings.

If you're in the area and have an hour or so to spare you'd do worse than to pay a visit here. A wonderfully quirky museum. Not slick but friendly and very interesting.
