Small and friendly venue

This is the smallest of The Dome venues (the others being The Dome itself, and the Corn Exchange). We went to see a saxophone concert and enjoyed our visit. The seating is... read more

Nice bar and you can take your drinks inyo the theatre. Raked seating but stage is not raised. Ok for wheelchairs but the chairs can't get to the bar. Toilets ok but once performance is on there is only one exit to get to them. Staff pleasant and atmosphere clean and airy in the winter.... gets too hot in the... More

This is the smallest of The Dome venues (the others being The Dome itself, and the Corn Exchange). We went to see a saxophone concert and enjoyed our visit. The seating is very close to the stage and it must be said it's not as comfortable as The Dome seating. Now re-branded as The Studio Theatre this is a good... More

good location in centre of town, fair prices, more experimental than fully experienced standard. The Royal Theatre is not far away, better programme, performances of different level. Depends on personal preference where to go and what to see.

In the heart of Brighton it forms part of the Dome complex. This small theatre puts on a good variety of shows. Has a good bar in the basement too.

We have come to Brighton for 5 years specifically to see this Panto, and visit friends that we have made in the Brighton Area. Love the Theatre Royal, and always enjoy the Panto as it is a lot of great FUN!!!!

Unsure that I would agree with the reviewers who described this as 'stepping back in time'. For me it's a fairly modern intimate theatre. I went there this new year to see The Treason Show. We had a drink in the bar first and although there was a bit of a wait it wasn't too bad. You are allowed to... More

This is like stepping back in time. Very attractive building that has always been well maintained. The seating is quite uncomfortable and the seats are very small - so if you're on the large side, think seriously about this first before booking! The staff are extremely helpful and always so polite and will help with any questions you may have.

My sister and I went to The Pavilion Theatre last night. My sister has special needs and has some mobility problems and the theatre were informed of this when we booked our tickets. As soon as we arrived at the theatre and announced ourselves at least two members of staff knew who we were and were so helpful. They made... More
