Took the East Hill funicular for an afternoon cliff top walk. Cheap, cheerful and you won't have to wait long. Excellent walking opportunities at the top. (There are steps as an alternative to the funicular if you prefer.)

Not really value for money and only vaguely interesting. But for the novelty factor worth doing at least once. . .there are two but you have to buy seperate tickets which I thought was odd.

Well what can I say, really was looking forward to travelling on this,I was expecting more of an experience but sadly felt let down. I did enjoy it,but imagined it a lot different. The views from the top of the cliff were great, but to get to...More

For a family of four it worked out at about £1 per person each way. For an immaculately maintained and presented attraction with very friendly staff I think that's a bargain. Well worth the experience

Nice lift with excellent view and give you easy access to scenic walk. Don't forget there are two lifts on different cliffs in the city. Try both of them.

If your up for a walk and want fantastic views this is a must. The view from the top of the cliffs is amazing looking down at the old and the new towns.

Of course this was an exciting trip for the children, but I would recommend walking up the steps from Tackleway for the fit, better views. If you are unable to walk very well then the lift is for you!

I thoroughly enjoyed the gentle rise as more and more was revealed of the Old Town and beach vista! A very pleasant way to travel from beach to cliff top.

The ride is cheap. Feels very safe and old. Nice on warm hot day to go up the top for an ice cream in the sun.

There's on street parking on top of the hill (meter, or if you are willing to park a few streets away, free) or a car park opposite at Pelham Place Car Park and limited on street at the bottom.

Hello, Once you leave the West Hill Upper Station there is about 400 yards walk on wide, well-maintained paths. I am 72 years old with walking difficulties and I found it to be quite a relaxed walk. Drehort
