We went as a family to see Our House, which was excellent. We all love The King's even with it's tiny seating spaces. It is what it is, an historical building which oozes class. Nice to see the toilets have been updated!! Pleasant staff. Well...More

Very small venue. Not a lot of parking nearby. Had to park quite a distance away. Show was great though.

Having visited the King's for many a year it has never failed to surprise me. At one point it could have closed which would have been a loss to Southsea. Decor, service and quality of events they hold are just right for all age ranges.

Saw Madama Butterfly here love this building with its ornate facade very clean upkeep good only criticisms it was a bit warm

I always try and visit the theatre when I'm in Portsmouth. It's one of my absolute favourites. The decor is amazing, the staff are great and the shows they put on are always fab.

I agree with previous answers - side roads are usually busy but you might get lucky so Waitrose is the best bet.

There are disabled spaces in the streets around the theatre but they may be in use. You might be better to use a taxi that can drop you at the door.

Free parking is provided after 6pm at the nearby Waitrose car park in Marmion Road. (Waitrose Car Park, Marmion Road, Southsea, PO5 2EJ). Hope this helps.
